What is next

The fifteen

Pre-algebra through Algebra 1, in the order each one is built on the last. The first four are where most of the 41% are stuck, and seven through nine is where Algebra 1 gets failed.

  1. Integer operations
  2. Order of operations
  3. Fraction operations
  4. Decimals, percents and conversions
  5. Ratios and rates
  6. Proportions
  7. Like terms and the distributive property
  8. One- and two-step equations
  9. Multi-step equations, variables on both sides
  10. Linear inequalities
  11. Slope and graphing lines
  12. Exponent rules and scientific notation
  13. Systems of two equations
  14. Polynomials and factoring
  15. Quadratics

After that comes Geometry, Algebra 2 and onward. The engine can already check anything whose answer is an expression, which carries a long way, derivatives included, before anything underneath needs rebuilding.

For the people who teach

Teachers, tutors and homeschool parents will get a class view where they can assign a skill, set "five in a row," and see who has finished. Students will join by code with no email and no name beyond whatever the teacher types in. That will be the only part of MOSTMATH that ever costs money, and it will cost the teacher rather than the student, while the free practice stays exactly as it is.

Accounts, maybe

Only for syncing your own progress between your phone and your laptop, and only as an option, storing the minimum and described on the privacy page before it ships. If we cannot do it in a way that keeps "nobody is watching" true, we will not do it.

Who is building this

Two of us, a founder and an AI collaborator, as a public benefit corporation in formation. We are the first test users, and every decision we make, along with the reason for it, goes into a log that starts on the first day. We are starting in the United States, and we are building it for people before anything else.
